How do you remember all their birthdays?, some of us enjoy sending gifts, but if it's a chore and they never say thank-you, why not send them a gift on YOUR birthday instead.....................
It's quite simple really, some of us are busy people, it is difficult to remember who is who, especially when their are several grandchildren/neices/sundry relatives. So, especially if you are a little older or thought to be rather eccentric, here's the plan.
Every year, on YOUR birthday, send them all a card, gift, money, or better still a little newsletter, keeping all the relatives in touch with each other, and with family events. This achieves several goals all at once. Firstly, only one date to remember, secondly, they all get a nice surprise on an otherwise unexceptional day, thirdly, and best of all, they get to know when YOUR birthday is, and hopefully reciprocate with lots of cards for their lovely Grandma, Uncle, or whoever you are! So, result all round. Will they miss a "proper" birthday greeting? probably not, if they are children they will have gifts and cards strewn about all over the place, yours will be lost in the pile, and if you are lucky you will get a late note reluctantly penned after a nagging mum has finally persuaded the little darlings to send thank-you letters. That's my plan. what's yours?!
