Not to be confused with normal streaming internet radio, this is way better.
Said by some to be the greatest thing since the valve radio, It's internet streaming radio with a kick. For me a total novice at "downloading" it worked straight away. Remarkable. Simple. Whatever your musical tastes. So, get it.
The great thing about pandora is that it lets you build your own selection of music - but with a twist. You enter the names of Artistes or Bands into the system, the radio then plays a selection of that music ---- PLUS it introduces other music, mostly by unknown artistes which it very cleverly thinks you might like. You then have the ability to tell the system whether you like or dislike each song, which then further refines the playlist. You are able to create up to 100 different radio stations, so you can have one for each of 100 moods! I don't really know how it works, but it does.
In the USA it comes in two versions,one is free and displays advertising, another is paid for. In our part of the world no sound adverts are heard.
The only odd thing about Pandora is that it is only supposed to work in the USA.The system will ask for a US address and Zip code. My address is xxxxxx and xxxxxx as for a zip code....... there is a very popular TV series called Beverly Hills 90210 Apparently a lot of Pandora users live in 90210 !!
